Can someone suggest me how to fix the vRA Connector sync issue on vrealize automation 7.3.
VMware support team suggested me to recreate connector by deleting existing, is it viable option???

vRA Enterprise install - Primary Appliance Node error
The full enterprise installation has completed and all services are running. All functionality appears to work but the primary node displays the following on the console page. Would like this message to clear before performing any additional config.
The boot.msg log shows the following at the end of the log

appd.properties not detected for VRA7.4 with Windows 2012
Hi :
I am trying software components with my blueprint.
I can confirm that my .Net 3.5 have been installed, and i have my template prepared by following this. Prepare a Windows Reference Machine to Support Software
but my server provision failed with timeout.
when i login to check the logs. it shows "C:\opt\vmware-appdirector\agent\appd.properties not detected"
i can see the service is started.
Did i miss anything?
Any comments would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

Execute action before OU placement
Hi,
Based on a post I found online I've created a custom hostname prefix on request event. The prefixes are defined by the Project Manager, so we need the hostnames to be manually assigned on request. There are constraints and I have a regex checking that.
So far, so good. When a customer request a new deployment, they already have a defined hostname prefix, and the workflow sets the numeric value automatically.
The issue that I have is that this is happening befor OU placement. So, If someone asks for a new VM, the automatic name generated by vRA is, lets say, web-01, but then there is an event that triggers the name change to projectx-01 the VM gets created with that VM name and Hostname but on the Active Directory a new computer is created with "web-01", and deleted when the deployment is destroyed.
How can I get the rename event to happen before the OU placement?

Reconfigure action - change portgroup
Hi!
I'm trying to find a way to run "Reconfigure" action in the vRO to change network portgroup for my machine (and script some stuff-related changes in my environment, of course). It seems easy with other actions (like snapshots, power on/off" but not with this one. I figure out to get "Form", but when I tried vCACCAFERequestsHelper.getRequestFormForResourceAction(Reconfigure) i got "Form" i know nothing to do with It is wrapped LiteralMap/lang.Iterable bla-bla...

vRA 7.4 - LDAP query failed for more than 1000 groups
I am having this issue where i am trying to search on the DN where i have more than 1000 groups on AD. I am using LDAP to connect, also tried using Global Catalog on port 3268, pointing to the entire domain or to only one Domain Controller.
This is the only thing i see on the horizon.log:

Error message when clicking on Client Registration 'The reference to entity "sysparm_category" must end with the ';' delimiter.'
Hi all - long time listener, first time caller.
I'm running into this message again, it first popped up in vRA 7.2, and then recently resurfaced in vRA 7.3. The message occurs after importing the XML file and committing the update set, and then attempting to configure the OAUTH settings under basic configurations.

simple VM deployment failed with errore related to VMware.VirtualCenter.OperatingSystem
Hi all,
i have installed vRA 7.4 and configured the connection with vCenter Server (Endpoint test connection works!).
Then i try to deploy a simple empty VM but the request failed with the messages here below.
Anyone can suggest me how to solve this?

vRA 7.5 new deployments tab. can we change the default filter?
Hello,
I've updated from 7.4 to 7.5. a lot on improvement from a User Interface standpoint. I think the deployments page is great except for the filter aspect.
before you had a drop down to change default view (only owns deployments) to business groups ones. my customers are kind of complaining about the need to clear the filters every time they want to access a deployment that is not owned by themselves.
someone know if we can change the filter default selection?
it would be very appreciated by my customers.

[vRA] - Move VM to vCenter & Reservation
Hello team,
we want to move the VM's from a vCenter & Reservation (NetworkProfile & Datastore).
We have found this documentation (Create an Action to Migrate a vSphere Virtual Machine With vMotion) but I think with this method the VM's doesn't move of her currently reservation.
Do you have an idea to process this migration to an other vCenter & Reservation (NetworkProfile & Datastore) ?

Unable to move vm to AD OU due to Cutom Host Name Workflow
Hi ALL,
As per customer need we provide them Custom Host Name Workflow so can they deployed machine as per there naming convention.
but the problem is if we attached AD OU Policy to blueprint/Business Group then Virtual Machines are Created in Default OU instead of required one.
if we deploy machine without custom host name workflow then virtual machines are successfully created in required OU.
If anyone having Same issue please guide/help us to come out of this issue.
Please Suggest.
NOTE: Customer is not ready to run script in custom spec of vCenter server for same.

VRA 7.3 vSphere Initial Setup failure TypeError: Cannot read property "childEntity" from undefined (Dynamic Script Module name : getAllComputeResourceForVimHost#6)
I am trying to setup a new VRA 7.3 configuration. I have gotten everything so far configured but now when I try to run the vsphere initial setup in the catalog it gets to the point where it is validating the endpoint connection settings and then I get the following error. TypeError: Cannot read property "childEntity" from undefined (Dynamic Script Module name : getAllComputeResourceForVimHost#6). Any ideas on this would be greatly appreciated.
