Hi,
I have a vRA 6.2 installation, Installed a proxy agent for Hyper-v and tried to configure the same as an end point. I am running into two issues during the process.
Issue 1:
When I try to create an End point after creating the proxy agent, the option to choose "Hyper-v" as the type of the end point is missing. The only option I see is "vSphere" . Now this makes me think there is an issue with the initial installation of vRA frame work. I am attaching the screen shot to the post.
Have any one seem this before? What are the requirement for the end point option to just show up (even before configuring it)? Already checked the licensing piece. Support is working on figuring it out. The proxy agent is showing online and fine. But there are few instance where the option to choose "Hyper v" as an end point is available even before installing the agents. (including VMware lab)
Issue 2:
Even after uninstalling the proxy agents in the IaaS server, the agents are still shown in VRA -> infrastructure -> endpoint -> agents, this is preventing us from doing more trials as we are not able to add the same "Compute resource" with a different proxy agent, even after uninstalling the proxy agent. This is just increasing the number of stale entries Support is still researching on this as well. Is there a way we can force remove the proxy agent reference in VRA? I uninstall the agents using Windows add or remove program and couldnt find any proper steps for uninstalling a proxy agent.
For some reason I think both the issues may be interrelated. I rebooted the servers several time to verify.
I Appreciate any help from your past experience. Thanks for the time.
