Hello vCAC Users,
We use vCAC v6 with multi-machine Blue Prints. This allows our users to "check-out" of a set of VM's which simulate a production environment (for testing, demos, etc.). The environment has its own internal static IP addressing, but is connected outbound through an edge device using 1-to-1 NAT. Connecting to the console via VMRC works, however RDP or SSH is blocked.
I reached out to VMware support, and they said that it is a firewall rule in the source edge device which prevents this connectivity. They said you could edit the edge device post-provisioning (though I'm not entirely sure how to do that yet). Regardless, it still leaves me with running a script or workflow each time an environment is checked out. I would prefer to edit the source edge device one-time and be done with it.
As you might expect, I have more digging to do. However, has anyone run into this, and even better...know how to resolve it or workaround it?
Thank you kindly!
Joe
