vCAC 5.2 - Trigger a custom workflow driven by out-of-the-box menu operations (Reboot, Reprovision, Suspend, Resume)

For our purpose in vCAC 5.2, we would like to invoke a workflow when a machine is rebooted, reprovisioned, suspended, or resumed through the vCAC self service portal.

When looking via vCAC Designer and the documentation, the only workflows that are customizable for a State Change Workflow are:

  • BuildingMachine, Disposing, Expired, MachineProvisioned, RegisterMachine, UnprovisionMachine, On, Off.

If we simply look at invoking the State Change workflow state "Off/On", it is unknown if the portal was used to invoke that state change.

Is it possible to invoke a workflow through existing built-in operations without hacking the vCAC self-service portal?
