Using vCAC Rest APIs

I am looking for documentation on VCAC REST APIS. I found the list of REST APIS exposed in this link and also some information in extensibility guide but there are no examples on calling these APIS. There are 2 examples in extensibity guide but not much details.

I am looking to invoke the REST APIS from java and perform operations like create VM and performing other VM lifecycle management operations which can be done from vcac UI. If anybody could share some examples on using these APIS from java that would be great.
