vRA 7 "Deployments" - any way to return the unique instances of a deployment when multiple instances are selected in a request?

Hi All,

I am trying to find a way to get some kind of unique identifier for an *instance* of a vRA Deployment, when multiple instances are selected by the user in a single request.

Please see the attached image for clarification.

The JSON of the vRA request itself does not appear to have anything specific to the specific deployment instances, other than a field ("provider-_number_of_instances") that is populated with the number of deployment instances requested by the user.

i.e. /catalog-service/api/consumer/requests/{ID} JSON does not uniquely identify the deplyment instances in a request where the number of deployment instances is > 1

can get the unique deployment instances (e.g. the name of each deployment intance from the request) once the request has completed using:

/catalog-service/api/consumer/requests/{ID}/resourceViews

But this is not available until the request has compleetd, and I need to get some kind of unique ID ideally at time the request is submitted.

Can anyone assist here?

Many thanks

Justin
