Hello,
we are currently evaluation vRA and NSX for our datacenter. Yesterday i updated our vRA installation from 7.0.1 to 7.2.0 and also enabled NSX.
Within NSX i created two security groups. Within the vRA Blueprint Designer i assinged one security group to one machine.
According to this picture i expect that the WebServer VM will be assigned to the "S4M_App_Tier" Security Group and the DatabaseVM to the "S4M_DB_Tier" VM.
But then i deploy this blueprint, both VMs are assigned to both Security Groups.
When i check the vRO i see 6 workflows runs of "Add VMs to security group" within some seconds.
This is the result in the vRA portal:
And this is the property of the DatabaseVM.
Why is vRA/vRO assigning all security groups to all vms?
Btw:
I also did a second test. One Machine in the Blueprint, with to Security Groups but only on assigned.
Result: Both Security Groups are assigned to the Virtual Machine.
