Hi vRA community,
I have a weird issue and not sure if anyone else has encountered.. Here is how it goes..
We have 2 vSphere clusters, 1 for Corp and 1 for DMZ.
I have a template rhel01 in the corp cluster. I have 2 different blueprints for both corp (RHEL6.5-CORP_v.10) and DMZ (RHEL6.5-DMZ_v1.0) created with custom properties and reservations set to deploy in their respective cluster when a VM is requested. I have similar template and blueprint setup for Windows 2008R2 and 2012R which are absolutely working fine.
We have Infoblox IPAM workflows integrated via vRO and vRA-vRO customization is setup as well for BuildingMachine,MachineProvisioned and MachineDisposing workflows to automate IP registration and reclamation.
Issue -
Any RHEL VM provisioned from the CORP blueprint goes straight w/o issues. Concurrent deployments aren't a problem too. But DMZ VMs are not getting deployed. The request gets stuck at "In Progress" state and times out after 20hrs as per the standard out-of-the-box configuration.
What did I try with no luck -
1. No errors in any of the logs that I checked. The VC Agent logs does not even show the request details so the request isn't reaching there and getting blocked somewhere.
2. Recreated blueprint
3. Cloned the template to a new one and tagged it to the blueprint.
4. Deleted blueprint and service itself and recreated everything for this catalog item.
5. ESXi build numbers weren't matching between Corp and DMZ hosts. Patched DMZ hosts and all are at the same build number.
When I tried after #5 above, I was able to deploy VMs one after the other. But when I tried a concurrent deployment it got stuck and its not pushing through any newer deployments too.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.
