Sending email to Custom Groups

Hi,

I have a customer environment that does not have any Active Directory. All users are setup in the Tenant as Local Users.

I have created a Custom Group - Approvers with more than 2 users in this group. Question is when I setup the Approval Policy and set the approvers to this group, can the email trigger to the users?

** Similar to sending email to a distributed list
