Currently our production environment is running vRA 6.2.x but we are planning an upgrade to vRA 7 in Q1/Q2 so we are evaluating our existing integration and WF’s in version 7. In 6.x, we use ASD wrappers around all of our IaaS blueprints to create a better UI and offer a more dynamic request page. With the wrappers, our end-users are only entitled to the ASD blueprints so they never see the IaaS blueprints in the catalog.
In vRA7 I made a few slight modifications to our ASD wrappers and I can provision servers but due to the architecture changes in vRA 7, I’m struggling to hide the IaaS blueprints (technically they are no longer IaaS blueprints, I’m just using the term to distinguish between standard Blueprints and our ASD XaaS Blueprints).
With blueprints and permissions moving from IaaS to the CAFÉ side, has anyone found a way to leverage ASD wrappers and hide standard blueprints in an environment where you have multiple business groups?
