We have a customer where we want to use Cloud Client to protect vRA Managed VMs, for a DR Use case.
The customer has versions of these products currently implemented:
vRA 6.2.3, SRM 6.0, vSphere 6.0.
Protecting the vRA Managed VMs can be done with or without SRM.
According to the Cloud Client support matrix, neither Cloud Client versions (3.3.1 or 4) can't be used, in conjunction with the vRA and SRM versions that we have installed.
Currently it is not possible to upgrade to vRA 7.
Can Cloud Client be leveraged for our use case?
Can I mix some parts (SRM modules from Cloud Client v4 and vRA modules from Cloud Client v3.3.1) to make it work?
If it is not possible to make it work, does anybody have experience using REST API calls so we can address the use case?
Of course, any other ideas or comments will be much appreciated.
