I am working in an environment with the following components:
- vSphere 5.5
- vCenter 5.5
- vCloud Application Director 6.0.1
- vCloud Director 5.5.3
I am having a problem with the first part of the workflows in that the IP address assigned to the VM is not being put into a W2K12R2 VM. I end up with the workflow (sometimes) completing and some times not when it goes to perform the Add to the Domain task (which is the first one after the Provisioning step). I'm not seeing anything in the bootstrap logs pertaining to the IP address, nor am I seeing this same problem on W2K8 or W7 systems that follow the same workflows and complete correctly (and assign the IP address).
The latest iteration, I watched the VM (console view only, did not log in), and it performs the initial reboot after cloning from the template, then AFTER the agent_bootstrap process completes and reports a success, it does another 2 reboots... the first one shows the message "Vmware image customization is in progress...", then after a couple minutes it does another reboot (no message this time).
When I log in, I am asked whether I want to find PCs, devices, and content on this network, and automatically connect to devices like printers and TVs? (which tells me that the network was NOT correctly configured) nor was it added to the domain...
I have re-created this template from the gold master and followed all the instructions from the vCloud and vFabric Director manuals to add a template... Google has failed me in determining the cause... any suggestions on where I can look (log files)? or anyone have experience with this that can point me in the another direction?
