I have a customer who would like to go for Public CA to issue the vRA components Certificates:
1- vCenter SSO
2- vRA Appliances
3- Model manager
4- Iaas Web
Now the vendor replied back to him that the SANs cannot be included in the certificate and if he need SANs included, He will buy new certificates for all SANs of instead of 4 certs so we will end up with 12 (2 nodes for each LB VIP).
The customer now have another option of using multi-domain SSL cert and with this cert he will include the 12 FQDN (8 for SANs, 4 for VIP ) in the CN for this certificate.
Can someone please confirm if this will work and is supported by VMware?
