Hello,
i have some questions regarding vCAC and the hybrid cloud model. A cloud is called hybrid cloud if its a composition of two or more cloud infrastructures (private, public, community). But its also said, that data and application portability is enabled. if i look at vCloud Director there it is true, i can use vCloud Connector and link different vCloud Director access to centrally manage them and even move workloads between different access. And I can create a site-to-site vpn to link different vCD accesses to enable VM connectivity across different clouds.
can vCAC offer that too?
- Can i add different vCloud Director access and move workloads between those accesses and maybe my own vSphere environment?
- Can i only provision to amazon ec2 or can i move vms residing in the ec2 to vCD/vCD to ec2 or my vSphere environment?
- Can i create a connection on network basis between different vCD or EC2 accesses as in vCloud connector?
I would say if only I can provision ressources in a heterogenous environment including vsphere, hyperv, xenserver, ec2, vCD and so I dont have a hybrid cloud with that.
Please help me out on that
