Hi all,
I have vCAC 6 (latest build) deployed to provision to vCD 5.5 and vCenter ESXi 5.5 clusters, with several blueprints provisioning from vCenter templates and a vCD Public Catalog template library.
One of the templates is a complicated vApp build which needs lots of customization to complete - this is done by an external team of offshore developers. What I need to be able to do is set some automatic trigger so when one of these blueprints is provisioned - on completion of the build an automatic email is sent to the development team helpdesk system to inform them a new build has been completed and needs customizing. Ideally the email would contain the VM name and the contact information for the requestor (contact number is a required field via a custom property in one of the blueprint build profiles).
Now these templates are only ever deployed to vCD tenants where there is no AD domain connections. Using VC Customization Specifications is also out, as this isn't an option for a vCD Component blueprint in vCAC.
Any other suggestions on how this might be achieved? One other possibility might be to configure an approval policy and set a post-deployment approval option for this vApp type, but I cannot find a suitable approval scenario.
Any thoughts gratefully received.
Cheers.
Jeremy.
